Qualifications
I have been involved with the construction industry for 20 years, building new homes and remodeling in Dodge City. I have owned and operated my own construction/painting/drywall business for 12 years. In the construction industry I have obtained the knowledge of building techniques, codes and materials. Daily tasks would include estimating labor costs and providing the necessary materials to complete each job. At the end of 1999 I began my training to become a residential appraiser in Kansas. In the year 2000, I was employed by Southwest Appraisal Service to perform residential appraisals full time on a trainee basis. In December of 2003 I received my Residential Appraisers License classification and started my own business.
Work History
From 1983-1986 I worked part time for Lett Construction in Dodge City. In 1987 I worked full time for Arbogast Construction building homes and remodeling. In 1988 I was employed by Borton Industries. At Borton Industries I was relied upon to read blue prints on a large retirement facility and work on site performing various task. After the retirement facility was completed I decided to start my own painting and drywall business that started in 1990 and ended in 2000. From the year 2000 to the present date I have been doing residential appraisal work full time.
